The numbers aren’t great.

Obesity is a national epidemic.  Rates of depression are at an all-time high.  More than 50 percent of marriages end in divorce.  Personal debt continues to skyrocket.

And, that was before the pandemic and the recent events involving racial injustice.

In his book, The Miracle Morning, Hal Elrod shares statistics from the Social Security Administration: If we take 100 people at the start of their career and follow them for the next 40 years until they reach retirement:

1 will be wealthy

4 will be financially secure

5 will continue working not because they want to but because they have to

36 will be dead

54 will be broke and dependent on friends, family, relatives, and the government to take care of them

Hal writes: “We are living in the most prosperous, advanced time in human history with more opportunities and resources than ever before.  Yet most of us aren’t tapping into the unlimited potential that is in every single one of us.  I’m not okay with that.  Are you?”

This week we are going to review the benefits of taking charge of our lives by getting up an hour earlier and experiencing a “Miracle Morning.”
It starts with the simple but profound insight:  Our outer world is a reflection of our inner world.

More tomorrow.
